I know most of you must be surprised to know for the first time that you needed a yearly check-up on your mouth. Yes, its no joke, you definitely need a check-up by the dentist so that your teeth lasts longer than they would.

1] THE CAVITIES

We have 32 teeth in our mouth which are totally prone to cavities. We may not be aware of these decay as they are painless unles it become a worsened stage where we will need to spend more time as well as money. some decays are unstoppaple by brushing and care that we do on regular basis.

Tooth cavities are painless. They do not cause pain until too late.

Thats where yearly visit to dental clinic will help us. Our Dentist will not only help us keep our teeth on watch but also help us find out cavities that we were unaware of.

2] THE CALCULUS

This is yet another biggest reason that demands for a regular check up. The food type we consume in this modern era is sticky and therefore gets stuck onto our teeth which soon hardens. These hard deposits are known as Calculus, which looks slightly yellowish than our tooth colour itself and is thus less likely to be often noticed.

CALCULUS IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL PROBLEMS IN OUR MOUTH

These calculus deposits are the prime reason for cavities, bleeding gums, bad odour, infected tooth, frequent ulcers, sensitivity and plenty other problems . Our dentist helps us keep them away by providing ultrasonic cleaning.

3] THE TYPICAL SYMPTOMS

Our mouth is the mirror to our body healthy. A healthy mouth means a healthy body.

This might sound bit astonishing! But often times if we have a systemic disease, it is well reflected in our mouth. A look into our mouth could also allow us to diagnose early stages of certain diseases.

4] THE TEETH-LESS OLD AGE

Do you think teeth loss at old age is inevitable? Well, that was the fact in before ages. Now we can prevent teeth loss by keeping them clean and healthy from the very beginning.

Exactly, good oral care from the young age itslef can promise healthy teeth even at 70's.

Now teeth looses due to two main reasons: a) cavities or decay b) gum disease. If you can make sure to prevent or remove caries and have healthy gums by keeping those ugly calculus away, what can stop you from having those teeth at old age?

5] THE PREVENTION

The above mentioned cavities that are caused due to food deposit remains and the gum disease due to those calculus can be prevented by cleaning them away once in a year. We know prevention saves us so much pain, time as well as money.

6] THE MAINTENANCE

If we have undergone a dental treatment, be it a filling or a crown or anything done to improve previous condition, you are also not at ease of having a "forever healthy" teeth. Natural teeth requires cleaning, so don't you think artificial onee require as much as cleaning and maintenance as the prior one? The answer is very much yes. Corrected teeth always require maintenance once in a while. So do not miss our regular check-up in order to make our treated teeth last long.
